Automation

 

Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking skilled Electrical Design Engineers to support our growing team in Pittsburgh.

Responsibilities

  • Design Electrical systems for industrial equipment
  • Generate drawings and documentation
  • Ensure design adheres to industrial codes and customer requirements
  • Travel to customer facilities for installation and support

Qualifications

  • BSEE/EET or equivalent
  • Experience with CAD software and electrical design tools. AutoCAD electrical preferred
  • Hands-on experience with electrical wiring and troubleshooting is beneficial

Skills

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, components and design principles
  • Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions during design and implementation efforts
  • Capability to size motors and amplifiers for projects
  • Experience with industrial robots is beneficial
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.  Proficiency in English is required

 

Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support our growing team in Pittsburgh.

Responsibilities

  • Design Mechanical systems for industrial equipment
  • Generate drawings and documentation
  • Ensure design adheres to industrial codes and customer requirements
  • Travel to customer facilities for installation and support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical design, or related field
  • Experience with CAD software and modeling tools. Inventor preferred
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical details

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills to assess design feasibility and functionality
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy in design and implementation
  • Experience with industrial robots is beneficial
  • Experience with motion control systems is beneficial
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Proficiency in English is required
  • Must be a US citizen

 

Automation Engineer

This junior-level position involves the software development and implementation of projects and industrial applications.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and applying automated systems to industrial processes
  • Testing and validation of software
  • Generating user interfaces
  • Creating clear and detailed documentation
  • Travel to customer facilities for debug, installation, and support

Qualifications

  • Batchelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, or related field
  • Experience with one or more programming languages
    • PLC Ladder Logic
    • C#/.NET or similar structured text
    • Robot teach pendant
    • Machine vision scripts
  • Hands-on experience integrating and troubleshooting software on equipment

Skills

  • Experience with industrial PLCs is beneficial
  • Experience with industrial robots is beneficial
  • Experience with Machine Vision systems is beneficial
  • Experience with Motion Control systems is beneficial
  • Hands-on experience wiring is beneficial

Fabrication

 

Fabrication Supervisor

I2T is seeking a hands-on Fabrication Supervisor to lead our welding, machining, and electrical fabrication team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional team of welders, machinists, and electricians.
  • Assign daily work, manage priorities, and maintain delivery schedules
  • Ensure quality workmanship, adherence to drawings, and compliance to safety standards
  • Oversee equipment, tooling, consumables and maintenance needs
  • Support sales and project estimation
  • Ability to communicate with suppliers and internal teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in fabrication (welding, machining, or industrial electrical)
  • Experience leading or mentoring technicians
  • Strong ability to read drawings
  • Solid understanding of safety principles

Skills

  • Technical proficiency in welding, machining, or electrical fabrication
  • Strong communication skills and coaching abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and enforce standards
  • Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams
  • Experience reviewing drawings for labor/materials estimates
  • Comfortable interacting with vendors and evaluating materials options

 

Electrician

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and utilizing drawings for system builds
  • Build electrical panels, wire harnesses, and similar from drawings
  • Diagnose and repair equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Journeyman certification preferred
  • Minimum 3-years of electrician experience preferred
  • Experience in a team-based work environment
  • US Citizenship

Skills

  • Read blueprints and schematics
  • Understand proper PPE for high voltage and industrial standards
  • Experience with industrial equipment (robots, PLC, motors) is beneficial
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
  • Proficiency in English is required

 

Welder

The primary responsibilities of this position are to weld and fabricate a variety of metal structures from oral directions, sketches, drawings and blueprints. Essential functions include:

  • Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions using AWS D1.1 MIG procedures.
  • Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid warping, shrinking, distortion, overheating of parts and/or expansion of material.
  • Lay-out, position, align, and secure parts during assembly using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, rulers, etc.
  • Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Comply with QC standards and company best practices.
  • Keep a clean and organized work space and complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area.
  • Complete assigned work within given time frame and according to specifications.
  • Proficiency in English is required
  • US Citizenship

 

Manual Machinist

As a Manual Machinist, you will be able to identify problems and make necessary adjustments as they relate to industrial applications. Essential functions include:

  • Operate manual machining tools, including: engine lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drilling machines as well as related equipment.
  • Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to perform mechanical measurements using portable mechanical instruments such as dial indicators and micrometers.
  • Comply with QC standards and company best practices.
  • Keep a clean and organized work space and complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area.
  • Complete assigned work within given time frame and according to specifications.
  • Proficiency in English is required
  • US Citizenship
